Start Your Holiday Gift List Early: Spa Gift Cards at Amenities

By the Amenities Team  ·  October 16, 2026

Aveda product gift set and spa package display at Amenities Day Spa and Salon

It usually happens in the middle of December. You look at the list, and two names still have nothing written next to them. Your sister, who never takes a day off. The friend who says they do not want anything, and means it.

Here is the short answer we give at the desk: an Amenities gift card. It never expires, a physical card ships free, and it is good toward any service, product or spa package. The rest of this post covers what it actually buys, what happens when they come in, and why picking it up now, in October, makes it a better gift.

What can a gift card actually be used for?

Anything we do. A massage, a facial, a manicure and pedicure, a haircut or color, a spa package, or a bag of Aveda products from the shelf. The person you give it to decides, which is the whole point.

That matters more than it sounds. A gift card tied to one service assumes you know exactly what they want. A gift card in a dollar amount lets them walk in, talk to us, and choose. We see our guests as guests, not customers, and that starts with letting them decide what their day looks like.

It works on the shelf, too. Aveda has been our exclusive partner since 2003, and its products are plant-based, 96% naturally derived, vegan and cruelty-free. If the person on your list already has a favorite shampoo or hand cream from us, the card covers that as well. For someone who already knows exactly what they like, that may be the easiest gift of all.

And because our gift cards never expire, there is no deadline hanging over it. If they want to save it for a rough week in February, that is a perfectly good plan.

How much should you put on it?

Give the number plainly, then let it stretch. A few real prices from our menu, so you can picture it:

If you are not sure, think in terms of one complete visit. Most people remember the hour they spent, not the dollar figure on the card.

  • Spa Gel Manicure, 60 minutes, $65. Nail and cuticle care, a hand scrub, cuticle oil, hand cream and a relaxing massage, with gel that lasts up to three weeks. Just right before holiday parties.
  • Spa Pedicure, 60 minutes, $65. A warm soak, nail and cuticle care, a callus treatment, a massage with foot creme and hot towels.
  • A Fullbody Massage 60 Min, $110 to $140. Our Elemental Nature massage, tailored to the aromas the guest chooses.
  • A Elemental Nature Facial 60min, $135. A customized facial that includes a hand, arm, decollete and foot massage.
  • Spa Package – 60 Min Massage, $125, the package price for the same tranquil 60-minute Elemental Nature massage when it is part of a spa package. Spa package prices include a 20% gratuity, so nobody has to think about tipping.

Why does the massage price have a range?

This is the question we hear most from gift buyers. Our hair stylists work at Studio, Senior and Master levels, and massage pricing varies by artist the same way. The level is not a ranking of who is better. It is where each artist is on their path.

This is one more reason a dollar amount beats a named service. If the card covers the top of the range, they can book with any artist they like and still have the visit fully covered. Anything left over stays on the card for next time.

If you would rather name a service, tuck a note inside the envelope saying what you had in mind. They bring the card, mention the note, and we take it from there.

What happens when they come in?

This is the part you are really giving. They park for free in Fig Garden Village, with no meters and no time limits, and walk in at 5054 N Palm Ave, right behind Jamba Juice near Shaw and Palm.

Before anything else, we offer Aveda's comforting tea and a warm neck wrap. It is a small thing, and it is usually the moment shoulders come down an inch.

Then their artist walks them back. If it is a massage, the room is quiet and dim, and the first question is which Aveda aroma they would like. If it is a pedicure, their feet go into a warm soak with calming Aveda and Comfort Zone aromas while they settle back in the chair.

Every visit starts with a few questions. What is bothering you? What would make today feel good? A consultation is part of the service, not a formality, and it is how a gift card visit becomes their visit instead of a generic one.

Why buy it in October?

December is a full month for everyone, us included. The gift itself is easy to buy on Christmas Eve. The appointment is the hard part.

Opened in early December, a gift card can turn into a visit before the holidays, right when that hour off is needed most. Opened on December 25, it usually turns into a January appointment. Both are fine. One is a better gift.

Buying early also takes the shipping question off the table. Physical cards ship free, and ordering now means the card is in your hands, in a nice envelope, long before you need it. You can buy online at amenitiesspa.com/gift-certificates/ or stop by the desk.

If you are buying several, for a team, a book club or the whole family, the desk can help you sort out amounts in one visit.

And frankly, it feels good to cross a name off the list in October.

What if they have never been to a spa?

Some of our favorite gift card guests are first-timers. They arrive a little unsure about what to wear, what to say, or whether they are doing it right. That is completely normal, and our artists have been welcoming first-time guests for more than 25 years in Fig Garden Village.

If that is your person, a 60-minute massage or a manicure is a gentle first step. Both are an hour, both are relaxing from the first minute, and neither asks anything of them except to show up.

You can also send them our post on what a first facial is like, so they know exactly what to expect before they book.

What we tell our friends

Put a dollar amount on the card, not a single service. They get the freedom to choose the artist and the day, and anything extra stays on the card.

Tell them to book the week they open it. Not because the card will run out, it never expires, but because a booked appointment gets used, and a card in a drawer gets forgotten.

And if you are buying for two people who love each other's company, ask the desk about side-by-side services. Getting a massage or a pedicure next to someone you love is a different kind of gift.

Questions we hear at the desk

Do Amenities gift cards expire?

No. Our gift cards never expire, so there is no rush and no fine print hanging over the gift. They can use it the week they open it, or save it for a month when they really need an hour off. Anything left after a visit stays on the card.

Can a gift card be used for products or a spa package?

Yes. Our gift cards are good toward any service, product or spa package. They can book a massage, a facial or a manicure, put it toward a spa package, or pick up Aveda products from the shelf. Spa package prices already include a 20% gratuity, which makes the math easy.

How do I buy a gift card, and can it be mailed?

You can buy one online at amenitiesspa.com/gift-certificates/ or in person at the desk in Fig Garden Village. Physical cards ship free, so ordering a few weeks ahead means the card arrives in plenty of time to tuck into a holiday card or under the tree.

What should I put on a gift card for someone new to spas?

We suggest a dollar amount that covers one complete visit, such as A Fullbody Massage 60 Min at $110 to $140, or a Spa Gel Manicure at $65. A dollar amount lets them choose the service and the artist, and a 60-minute visit is a gentle, relaxing first step.
