How to choose if you are between two
Our artists usually settle it with one question: does your hair feel weighed down, or does it feel thirsty?
Weighed down, greasy at the roots by the second day, flat without knowing why, that is Rosemary Mint. It is a light clarifying wash that takes off the film our valley water leaves behind.
Thirsty, dry at the ends, color treated, or simply happier with something gentle, that is Shampure. The aroma is the one you smell when you walk through our doors.
Fine hair that falls by lunchtime wants Thickening Tonic at the roots on damp hair, then Phomollient through the lengths. Curls want Be Curly Advanced, worked through hair that is still properly wet and then left alone to dry.
Why we tell you to buy the liter
A liter of the shampoo you already know you love is the same product in a bigger bottle, and it outlasts several small ones. On an offer week it is the single best thing on the shelf.
The exception is anything you have not tried. Start small, see how your hair responds, and buy the liter next time. What you do at home decides how long a color or a cut keeps looking the way it did when you left.
What our artists take home
The liters behind the shampoo bowls are the same bottles on the retail shelf, so our artists have opinions built on using them all day, every day.
Rosemary Mint is the one most of them keep in their own showers, usually for the same reason guests give: it makes a scalp feel properly clean after a long week. Shampure tends to win with anyone who is color treated or who wants the calmer aroma.
Thickening Tonic is the quiet favorite. It is the product most often responsible for a blowout that still looks like a blowout the next morning, and most guests have never tried it.
A quiet head start on holiday gifting
Every size is included, and that makes the travel bottles worth a look. They are the right size for a stocking, a teacher gift, a hostess thank you, or the guest room.
Guests who think ahead in October are the ones not standing in a store in the third week of December. Pick up a few of the small sizes while the offer is on and put them somewhere you will remember in eight weeks.
If you want something wrapped and ready to hand over, ask at the desk. We keep gift cards there too, and either one is an easy answer for the person who says they do not need anything.
You do not need an appointment
The front desk is open seven days a week and you are welcome to come in only for product. Parking in Fig Garden Village is free, no meters and no time limits.
If you are not sure what you need, say so when you walk in. Someone will look at your hair and tell you honestly, including when the honest answer is that what you have at home is working.
That has been the rule here for more than 25 years. What is best for the guest, even during a sale.

How long does the offer run?
It is a short window set by Aveda, not by us. Ask at the desk or call us on 559-224-2667 and we will tell you exactly how long you have, and we will hold what you want if you cannot get in straight away.
Do I need a code or a coupon?
No. There is nothing to bring and nothing to show. Any of the included products on your ticket during those a short window rings up at the offer price at the front desk.
Does it apply to every size?
Yes, every size of the included products, from the 50ml travel bottles to the liters. It does not extend to products outside the list, and it cannot be combined with other offers.
Can I have it added to a service I already booked?
Absolutely. Tell your artist you want to pick something up and they will have it at the desk when you check out, so you are not shopping on your way out the door.
If you are due for a cut or color anyway, book inside those a short window and take care of both in one stop.
